Thanks everyone so much for coming-it was a great discussion-wow!  I am sorry we literally ran out of time and didn’t get to hear all voices!  We will perhaps try some different organizational strategies next time!  Anyway many exciting projects going on and great sharing of ideas yesterday!

For anyone reading this who isn't a member of the book club the book we are reading is Notebook Know How by Aimee Buckner

Our next meeting is 3:45 January 23, room 106

For a little more information on writing/reading programs such as I saw in the Brooklyn Schools

You can always order Amazon.ca-not always the fastest but sometimes the cheapest! Also kidsbooks would order these.

Byrd Baylor-the author that we talked about-beautiful poetry books that show kids the power of blank verse that doesn’t rhyme.  Peggy carries many of her books as they have first nations links.  For more information go to http://falcon.jmu.edu/~ramseyil/baylor.htm

The publisher for most of her books is Simon Shuster
